The latest picture of Miss Universe 2009 Stefania Fernandez of Venezuela, together with Miss USA 2009 Kirsten Dalton and Miss Teen USA 2009 Stormi Henley, in her swimsuit is baffling some pageant fans.
These fans are referring to the thighs of Stefania which are showing serious discolorations. If you have seen these photos and tried comparing her legs with those of the two American beauties, Stefania's thighs have really a different tone or texture. Refer to the pictures and see it for yourselves.
One would think that if these photos are official pictures released by the Miss Universe Organization, they would have cleaned her legs with the aid of a photoshop. Or is there really something serious in Stefania's thighs that even the magic of photoshop can no longer do something?
Someone suggested that probably her skin texture is so fine and thin that we already see flesh. She's thin skinned and the veins are showing through.
Another fan added that probably the lighting in the photographs only made it worse. He claimed he had seen a picture of the 6th Miss Universe winner from Venezuela during the 2009 Miss Universe pageant in Bahamas with the same discolorations on her legs.
This will remain a mystery but one thing is for sure, the thighs of Miss Universe 2009 are weird.

Miss Universe Stefania Fernandez's new hairtsyle
Miss Universe 2009 Stefania Fernandez of Venezuela decided to cut her hair. She was seen in Paris, together with Miss USA 2009 Kristen Dalton, with her shorter hair. What can I say? The new hairstyle perfectly suits her beauty. She now looks more beautiful and younger to me. Look at her in that picture above right before she was crowned as Miss Universe in Bahamas and compared her looks with this picture below.
Voila! She is definitely more stunning now. Agree? Oh, well, I just love her more now. And because of this, I am not going to complain anymore why Venezuela had a back-to-back victory. As days pass by, Stefania is winning my heart.

Ines Ligron Says Miss India Universe Ekta Chaudhary "Can't Talk and a Little Immature"

But don't take it negatively, for the Ekta fans, because it is Ines who is talking. We all know that this well-loved pageant director has an eye for beauty. Besides this is only her opinion and she could be wrong or right.
One fan asked Ines why India and USA are not in her list and that was the answer she gave. Only Misses Spain, Kazakhstan, Australia, Belgium, Colombia, Dominican Republic, England, Israel, Japan, Lebanon, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Russia, Venezuela, Vietnam and the Philippines are in her list.
Ines reasoned out that her comment was influenced by a Youtube video of Ekta speaking before she won her national title. She added that "she's sorry for the statement and she's just being honest about it"
I just don't know what video she was referring to. So, if you are reading this Ines, maybe you can point us the link. Merci.
But she still complimented Miss India by saying that Ekta is indeed beautiful.
"I am sure the Miss India Organization will turn this around because all their misses are indeed the best speakers normally."
I also remember that hours after Ekta was crowned, Ines made a blog entry also praising her. If I can remember it right, she said that she was happy Ekta won the title. It was Ekta who she really wanted to win.
As for Miss USA, Kirsten Dalton, Ines did not include her because she fails to see something special on the beauty queen.
"Nothing special for me, zero impact, just very “American-girl-next-door” but not in a good way. Again, I am giving my honest opinion, I cannot lie to you."
She also mentioned that Miss Dominican Republic, Ada de la Cruz is so far the clear winner this year.
She ended her statement by spreading peace to everyone.

Miss USA, Kirsten dalton, not taking sides in Prejean controversy

But, the crown-wining beauty Dalton is in no mood to adding more fuel to the fire and is thus being diplomatic. "Carrie is obviously very passionate about her beliefs," The New York Daily News quoted Dalton as saying at City Harvest's 'Practical Magic' event.
She added: "I respect her as an American, a fellow competitor and her friend. "Although I'm her friend, I don't want to defend her to her detractors because that's their right as well. They feel really strongly about their opinion for pro-gay rights, and that's great."

Interview with Chelsea Cooley, Miss USA 2005
Chelsea Cooley Altman was the first North Carolina woman to win Miss USA, back in 2005. She's now living in Wilmington and running two companies, including The Perfect Plate diet program and the image and leadership consulting firm StandOut Productions, which helped groom the current Miss USA, Kristen Dalton of Wilmington.
Busy as she is, Chelsea found time last year to marry mortgage planner Heath Altman, a former pro baseball player.
Following are excerpts of an interview with Chelsea by reporter Mark Price of Charlotte Observer.
Q. Married? You're killing me!
I love being married. He's my best friend. He's from Hamlet (N.C.), so we were raised with the same values…. I knew he was for me the first time we met. We both knew. We were judging a pageant, if you can believe that. He doesn't know anything about pageants, but they wanted a former ballplayer as a judge. I never thought I'd find a husband at a pageant.
Q. How did you help Kristen Dalton?
I've known her family for a while. In fact, Kristen caught the bouquet at my wedding. How's that for passing the torch! The best thing I can provide (pageant contestants) is my expertise of having been Miss USA, including all the mistakes. It's more a mental game than anything else. There's a lot coming at you, including meeting (pageant co-owner) Donald Trump. Kristen and I exchanged a lot of texts during the pageant, and I think I was able to help pump her up… The night of the pageant, I was on the front row, on pins and needles. We (StandOut Productions) had 15 girls total at Miss USA and five made the Top 15.
Q. There's a lot of controversy surrounding Miss California's comments on gay marriage. How could that have been avoided?
I think all the questions asked in the pageant were good, relevant, political questions. As Miss USA, you have to be up-to-date with things going on in the country. I applaud her for standing up for her beliefs, but I would like to talk to her about the decisions she's making now. She can only talk about what happened at the pageant for so long. If she's looking to get into the motivational speaking circuit, she should be concerned about her message and continuing to talk about this one topic… I don't want it to seem like I'm taking a stand on the content of her answer. I just think she needs to be careful of the people she surrounds herself with now and the path she takes. She's not a client. That's just advice.
Q. What souvenirs have you kept from your year as Miss USA?
I have two beautiful crystal trophies, one from Miss USA and one from making Top 10 in Miss Universe. I also have every single congratulatory letter I received from family, friends and people I don't even know. You should see the boxes. I can't part with them.
Q. What were some of the big thrills of your Miss USA reign?
Skydiving with the Golden Knights at Fort Bragg, since I'm terrified of heights… I also loved going to Bette Midler's 60th birthday party, which was on Halloween. She was dressed as (her character) “the Rose.” I think I met everybody there, including Elton John, Mariah Carey, and Sting asked me to sit with him and his wife at their table. I talked all night.

Miss California controversy shows society at its worst
It was a shameful performance that took place on the Miss California stage last Sunday. One of the finalists was asked a loaded question, she answered and was booed, then later verbally attacked by the same Internet blogger who posed the question to her in the first place.
Carrie Prejean, who did not win the title, was asked by celebrity blogger/judge Perez Hilton about her views on same-sex marriage. To the shock of Hilton, and apparently the audience, Prejean answered the question honestly. She told the audience that she meant no offense, but that she believed marriage was between a man and a woman. Boos rained down on her and Hilton screwed his face into a disgusted look.
Later, on his web blog and in interviews, Perez called her the "b" word, among other things. He ranted and raved about Prejean's answer.
Prejean said she knew immediately that she had lost the competition, but believed it more important to tell the truth.
It doesn't matter what a person's view on same-sex marriage is, no one should be treated like Prejean for speaking from the heart. She wasn't preaching, just answering a question posed to her. Instead of giving the typical politically correct beauty pageant response, she said what she believed.
The fool in all of this is Hilton. He's continuing to rant about this incident, and many in the gay community want him to shut up. They know he's out of line, even if they disagree with Prejean's opinion.
Too many Americans cannot stand to have someone express views counter to their own. Instead of disagreeing and making a case for their own beliefs, they demean the person holding an opposing viewpoint. Usually people attacking in this way are mean-spirited to be sure, but also clearly don't have the mental acumen to make an argument for whatever they believe in.
Liberals and conservatives, and too many people in between, seem to prefer to scream at each other and try to one-up the other by taking personal shots at them. It's disgusting, but a lot of Americans must love it because they keep tuning in to the web sites and talk shows from which this trash flows.
Prejean appears to be a smart woman and is in the early stages of making a career as the beauty queen who stood up and spoke her mind even when she knew it would hurt. We wish more people would quit fearing retribution and say what's on their minds. Our country would be stronger if they did.
Former Miss Idaho's take on the crown controversy

Pageants define themselves as an opportunity for women to promote their individual causes and celebrate their unique accomplishments. The Miss USA Pageant has been recognized as being a premier international pageant organization helping to develop the future of bright young women, testing their knowledge of current events, and their ability to successfully represent the United States in the Miss Universe competition.
This is where the controversy begins. Should Miss USA be a woman who speaks her mind, and thus follow what she believes in her heart; or should she be politically correct as a representation of our diverse country? The pageant heated up after celebrity judge, Perez Hilton, asked the final on-stage question to Miss California, "Vermont recently became the fourth state to legalize same-sex marriage, do you think every state should follow suit, why or why not?, " Hilton asked.
Instant debate sparked when Prejean responded with the following, "Well I think it's great that Americans are able to choose one or the other. We live in a land that you can choose same sex marriage or opposite marriage, and you know what, in my country and in, in my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody out there. But that's how I was raised and that's how I think that it should be between a man and a woman."
Prejean has since reported to several national news outlets that she believes she lost the crown because of her response, but still would not change her answer if given another chance.
After this falling out, the question must be asked, should pageantry move away from questions that put contestants on the spot, defending their personal values and beliefs?
Or are these questions in place to test the ability of our future queen to appropriately represent the entire U.S. culture on a national level?
The fact is, Carrie Prejean was not deprived of the crown based solely on her answer to Mr. Perez's question.
The Miss USA Pageant celebrity judges included a collection of 12 media savvy personalities from different professions who know what it takes to be in the spotlight. This year's judges put their vote on Kristen Dalton, as being the all-around package. As a collective they believed she would best represent our country out of the 51 contestants competing.
Reevaluate the facts behind the controversy and take a look at the woman who was actually crowned Miss USA. There may be further insight as to why she captured this honor.
Kristen Dalton is a 22-year-old graduate from East Carolina University. She served as Vice-President of the Psychology Honor Society and Vice-President of Leadership for ODK National Leadership Honors Society
at ECU.
Dalton is also dedicated to mission work around the world and plans to assist with an Aids Campaign in South Africa.

Exclusive: Donald Trump Breaks Silence on Miss California's Gay Marriage Comments
Donald Trump has broken his silence.
The owner of the Miss Universe franchise finally addressed the scandal surrounding his Miss USA pageant to FOX News Thursday, saying that he has received thousands of calls and letters, the majority of which support Miss California's comments on gay marriage.
Trump had been mum during the firestorm that followed the Sunday telecast, when first runner up Carrie Prejean's responded to a question about the controversial issue of gay marriage.
When asked by judge Perez Hilton, an openly gay gossip blogger, whether she believed in gay marriage, Prejean said "We live in a land where you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite. And you know what, I think in my country, in my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody out there, but that's how I was raised."
Many have argued that the answer cost Prejean the crown. But Trump disagreed, congratulating Dalton and saying that she deserved to win.
"I am very honored that she won," Trump told FOX News. "She really did a fantastic job ... She was doing well on every single card and she really did answer also a very, very tough question very well."
But Trump defended Prejean as well, disagreeing with Perez Hilton's assertion that it was the worst answer in the history of the Miss USA pageant.
"Miss California has done a wonderful job, that was her belief ... It wasn't a bad answer, that was simply her belief."
Trump added that Prejean's question was "a bit unlucky," arguing that no matter how she answered the question "she was going to get killed."
Prejean told FOX News that she believes her question cost her the crown. Dalton, the winner, told FOX News that she was not bothered by all the attention garnered by the first runner up because she feels it brings attention to the Miss USA organization, but that she was confident in her win.
"I think if they watch the pageant and they see the scores throughout the competition, they'll see who was in the lead throughout the competition," Dalton said. "There was a panel of 12 judges, it was collective judging, it wasn't just one judge that made her not win."
She also argued that she did not feel it was an unfair question, as it is an issue that concerns all Americans, and she has been asked the question about "five times in her career."
Dalton's title comes with a year's use of a New York apartment, a public relations team, a two-year scholarship at the New York Film Academy and an undisclosed salary.

Sherri Hill's Dress Designs Take the Stage at Miss USA 2009
Eight of the Top Ten Miss USA 2009 finishers were wearing a Sherri Hill gown.
She's done it again. Yet another Miss USA winner was crowned in a Sherri Hill gown at the 2009 Miss USA pageant. Eight of the Top Ten finishers wearing a Sherri Hill design shared their moment of glory with millions of onlookers at this year's long-awaited beauty pageant held at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 19.

The top four finishers strutted the stage in Sherri Hill creations, proving Hill's fashion design abilities to be nothing less than the best. Beyond the winning Miss USA 2009 contestant, first runner up Miss California USA, Carrie Prejean, second runner up Miss Arizona USA, Alicia-Monique Blanco and third runner-up Miss Utah, Laura Chukanov, all chose Sherri Hill gowns.
But Hill's sweeping victory didn't stop there. Out of the remaining Top Ten finalists, four of five chose Hill as their prime dress designer, including Miss Tennessee USA, Kristen Motil, Miss Arkansas USA, Chanley Painter, Miss South Carolina USA, Stephanie Smith and Miss West Virginia USA, Jessi Pierson.
It's no surprise so many contestants chose Sherri Hill as their evening gown designer. With a queen-size closet full of pageant-winning dresses, Hill has dominated the pageant scene with gowns claiming crowns and placing on Top Ten lists nationwide, from 2007 Miss America winner, Jennifer Berry, to Miss USA, Rachel Smith. 2006 Miss USA and Miss America winners also wore Sherri Hill to capture their crowns.
Hill has stamped her style in vogue and proved her self to be one of the fashion world's notable figures. After a decade as chief designer for another evening wear company, Sherri Hill started her own fashion company in 2008 to show off her own flair for fashion -- the right move for an award-winning entrepreneur. With cutting edge gowns in styles daring enough for any diva, and lovely enough for any lady, Hill has the finest formal wear available to winning pageant contestants, prom dress shoppers and everyone in between.
Hill's devotion to design is evident in her selection of beautiful fabrics and trimmings combined with innovative combinations of cuts to accentuate the best features of every woman.

Miss USA contest in gay marriage controversy
The prestigious Miss USA contest turned ugly after a gay marriage question by celebrity blogger Perez Hilton sparked outrage from the audience and "ugly" fights outside.
Miss North Carolina Kristen Dalton took out the crown, beating 50 other beauties in the pageant which was televised live from Las Vegas earlier today.
But runner-up Miss California Carrie Prejean garnered most of the attention after her answer to a question about legalising same sex marriage.
Gossip guru Hilton asked Ms Prejean: "Vermont recently became the fourth state to legalise same-sex marriage … do you think every state should follow suit? Why or why not?" She replied: "We live in a land where you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite marriage."
"And you know what, I think in my country, in my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman.
"No offence to anybody out there, but that's how I was raised."
Some of the audience cheered while others booed.
Others argued in the lobby, the Daily Telegraph reports.
"It's ugly," gay man Scott Ihrig was quoted as saying.
"I think it's ridiculous that she got first runner-up.
"That is not the value of 95 percent of the people in this audience.
"Look around this audience and tell me how many gay men there are."
Charmaine Koonce, the mother of Miss New Mexico USA Bianca Carla, disagreed, saying: "In the Bible it says marriage is between Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve."
It is the second time this month that the pageant has been hit with controversy after Miss Universe 2008 Dayana Mendoza posted a blog entry about a trip to Guantanamo Bay.
Ms Mendoza described the trip to the infamous prison as "aloooot of fun".
The blog entry was later pulled from the Miss USA website.

Miss USA 2009 is Kristen Dalton of North Carolina
Kristen Dalton, Miss North Carolina 2009, took home the Miss USA crown Sunday evening in Las Vegas, edging past Miss California Carrie Prejean and Miss Arizona, Alicia-Monique Blanco. Dalton is part of a North Carolina pageant dynasty (we were surprised as you to learn that such a thing exists): Her mother was Miss North Carolina USA 1982 and her sister was Miss North Carolina Teen USA 2008.
Dalton, a blue-eyed blonde who studied psychology and Spanish at East Carolina University, hails from Wilmington and, according to the press release from the Miss USA organization, is a talented singer and dancer, though you wouldn't know it from the pageant, which, unlike Miss America, does not have a talent competition (although parading across a stage in a bikini designed by none other than esteemed tastemaker Jessica Simpson and gold high heels does require an abundance of balance, poise and at least two other things.
