Now that Venezuela's President Nicolas Maduro offered asylum to former U.S. intelligence contractor Edward Snowden in defiance of Washington, which is demanding his arrest for divulging details of secret U.S. spy programs, do we expect to see Miss Universe Venezuela 2012 Maria Gabriela Isler making the cut at Miss Universe 2013? Does this issue would have to do with the placement of this South American country comes November?

Venezuela, aside from USA, is the most successful country at Miss Universe pageant, having won 6 titles and numerous runners-up. It had a 21-long-years winning streak from 1983 to 2003. But for the last 8 years, it failed to advance for 3 years - in 2004 with Ana Karina Anez Delgado, 2006 with Jicztad Vina and 2010 with Marelisa Gibson Villegas.
