Miss Earth Dominican Republic 2013 is Maria Eugenia Vargas

At the conclusion of Miss Earth Dominican Republic 2013 that was held at the Hotel Barcelo in Santo Domingo last Sunday night, Maria Eugenia Vargas was crowned the winner. She will represent Dominican Republic at Miss Earth 2013 pageant.
Maria Eugenia began to study ballet at the age of 9 in the Norma Garcia’s Academy where she graduated to being a professional ballerina at the age of 17 and was admitted to the ‘National Ballet Company’. She also applied and was admitted to study various special courses at “Escoela Nacional de Ballet” in Corba, and has twice appeared in ‘The Nut Cracker’ Montage at the National Theatre in Santa Domingo. To complement her education Marie also studied at ‘Colegio Duarre’ and went on to study advertising.

Her ambition is to become a ‘Prima Ballerina’ and start her own academy. In her spare time Maria enjoys music, jazz dance and jogging.

One thing I love about Miss Earth Dominican Republic 2013 is when the ladies paraded in costumes made out of old newspaper. The idea is great and commendable. It is really an effort to make the pageant an earth lover by showing to the world the importance of recycling.
