Iresha Asanki de Silva from Ratmalana is the winner of Siyatha Lux Miss Sri Lanka and she will be representing her country to the Miss World 2013 to be held in Indonesia this coming September.
Proclaimed as first runner-up is Chulakshi Ranathunga and second runner-up is Sharon Huyghebaert.
Huyghebaert was perceived as the one to beat by beauty pageant fans all over the world days before the coronation but Asanki de Silva "slyly" came from behind and snatched the crown.
Personally, the beauty of Iresha Asanki de Silva is a lot better than the two runners-up and I can see so much potential from her. The very first time I saw her picture, she reminded me my most favorite Sri Lankan beauty queen, Jacqueline Fernandes who went to Miss Universe 2006 but mysteriously denied a spot in the semis.
I believe that with proper training, Iresha will be a force to reckon with when Miss World 2013 starts.
