Olivia Wells wins Miss Universe Australia 2013


19-year old Olivia Wells of Black Rock is the newly crowned winner of Miss Universe Australia 2013 and she will be representing the Land Down under at the Miss Universe 2013 pageant in Moscow, Russia on November 9th later this year. She was crowned by the outgoing Miss Universe 2012 3rd runner up, Reynae Ayris, at the Sofitel Hotel in Melbourne last night, July 12th.

Olivia Wells is a first year medicine student who wants to become a surgeon but has to defer her studies for the meantime because of the responsibilities and duties she has to fulfill as the new Miss Universe Australia.

Coming in as first runner up is Tegan Martin which was considered by many as the one to beat prior to the coronation.This is Tegan Martin's second try as she already competed in 2011 where she ended up first runner up also to Scherri-Lee Biggs.

Second runner up is 24-year old, Marsi Fernandez while a finalist of Australia's Next Top Model, Kristina "Kristy" Coulcher who stands 1.79 meters is the third runner up.

Another previous first runner up in this pageant wins as fourth runner up. Mary Vitinaros was the first runner up of Reynae Ayris during the Miss Universe Australia 2012.

The other 5 ladies who made the Top 10 are Silka Kurzak, Charlotte Goodlet, Tamlin Dobrich, Saasha Burns and Alicia Maxwell.

Will Olivia Wells be able to maintain the momentum of Australia at Miss Universe pageant and continue its winning streak of 5 consecutive years already since 2008? What do you think?
