The Filipino pageant fans were very much worried earlier this month about their representative to the Miss World 2013 pageant which is taking place in Jakarta, Indonesia on September 28th because they were clueless on what is happening to Miss World Philippines headed by Cory Quirino. There were totally no updates when is the national pageant.
The announcements the other day that Miss World Philippines 2013 is taking place on August 18th and that its office is now accepting applications made the Filipino fans happy. It was a sigh of relief. At least, they are now assured that a national pageant to select their representative to Miss World 2013 is guaranteed.
There are only two screenings which will take place. The initial or general screening is on July 21st at the Music Hall of SM Mall of Asia and the final screening is on July 23rd at Solaire Resorts and Casino in Manila.
The winner will receive 1 million Philippine peso and will be crowned by Queneerich Rehman, Miss World Philippines 2012 and Miss World 2012 Top 8.
It is opened to all single Filipina who are 17-24 years old.
