Miss Rwanda 2010 Grace Bahati is stunning

Rwanda will become the newest player in international pageants when Grace Bahati, winner of Miss Rwanda 2010, will take the stage of Miss World this year in Vietnam.

I got a copy of the latest picture of Grace. I was mesmerized by her exotic beauty. Believe me Miss Rwanda 2010 literally took my breath away. She's stunning in this picture. I seldom appreciate black beauties but Grace is an exception.

What do you guys and gals think?

The Beauty Queen who was pregnant during her Miss World pageant

In 1983, at the Miss World pageant in London, Iceland was represented by Unnur Steinsson who finished as a finalist - 4th runner-up in fact.

22 years later in Sanya, China, Iceland once again made the headlines when a sweet looking girl captured the crown of Miss World 2005. She was Unnur Birna Vilhjalmsdottir, the third woman from her country to be crowned Miss World after Hólmfríður Karlsdóttir in 1985 and Linda Pétursdóttir in 1988

But did you know that Unnur Steinsson is the mother of Unnur Birna? Of course, everybody knows this. They are probably the most successful mother-daughter tandem in a beauty pageant.

But what you probably don't know was Unnur (the mother) was three months pregnant during the pageant in November 1983. And that baby in her womb was the future Miss World Unnur Birna.

Obviously, the mother violated the pageant’s rules and warranted disqualification. But she was not disqualified because this was not found out until after the pageant. This was unfair to the candidate who placed 16th at Miss World 1983 (there were Top 15 at that time).

Unnur Steinsson gave birth on May 25, 1984.

Another trivia: Steinsson also competed in the Miss Young International 1980 held in Manila and was named Miss Mabuhay (Friendship), Miss Punctual and third runner-up. She was also Iceland’s delegate in the Miss Universe 1983 pageant.

Today, mother and daughter both became movie actresses in their country.

The first picture is the mother and the second one is the daughter.

Miss Universe 2004 Jennifer Hawkins gets naked!

Jennifer Hawkins appears both naked and unretouched on the cover of Marie Claire's February issue, on sale January 6, to encourage positive attitudes to body image and support the Butterfly Foundation.

In an exclusive 5 page feature, Jen not only reveals her amazing body but also the pressures she faced since being crowned Miss Universe in 2004 and rising to fame.

In marie claire's exclusive interview, Jennifer Hawkins confesses that she never could have done a shoot like this two years ago.

"I would have been worried about what people thought, whether it was the right decision – a thousand different things... But over the past year and a half I've grown into myself, and I'm more confident and comfortable within the modelling industry. I did it for the experience... It felt quite sensual and sexy. I felt empowered".

While naturally slim, and with a body most of us would do just about anything for – Jen tells marie claire about the hard work that goes into her success, which includes keeping her body in great condition through regular exercise and a balanced diet. Jen speaks candidly about the highs and lows she has experienced in her rise to fame and her plans for the future, which includes moving in with her boyfriend Jake Wall in the year to come.

The gorgeous Jen bares all on this month's cover of marie claire to encourage positive attitudes to body image and support the Butterfly Foundation. You could be the proud owner of a signed and framed image of Jen simply by placing a bid in our online auction. The auction starts 10am, on January 6, with all proceeds from the sale benefiting the Butterfly Foundation.

The Butterfly Foundation provides support for Australians who suffer from eating disorders and negative body image issues.

Auction closes January 16.

Miss Germany Sarah Elzanowski spoils Latina supremacy at Miss Tourism International 2009

18 year-old Sarah Elzanowski of Germany was crowned Miss Tourism International 2009. The European beauty spoiled what could have been a Latina supremacy by defeating two of South America's beauty superpowers - Venezuela and Brazil. Even with their joint efforts, 23 year-old Jessica Ibarra of Venezuela and 24 year-old Thays Calmanv Neves of Brazil were unsuccessful in blocking Elzanowski from grabbing the title. They were proclaimed 1st and 2nd runner-ups respectively.

Czeck Republic's 23 year-old Gabriela Korinkova did also her share to give Europe a strong fight against the two Latinas but she ended up 4th runner-up only. But Korinkova's performance was still one of the strongest from 45 entrants from all over the world.

Edwina Markus of Malaysia, the host country and where the pageant is based, was the only saving grace of the Asian continent by capturing the 3rd runner-up trophy. The only other Asian who made it to the finals is Miss Indonesia Andara Rainy Ayudini who made the Top 10.

The 13th edition of the pageant took place in Sunway Lagoon Resort in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia on the night of 31 December 2009 while the whole world was celebrating new year.

The other semi-finalists who made did not make the Top 5 aside from Miss Indonesia are:

1. Jelena Mandic of Croatia
2. Minna Nikola of Finland
3. Anne-Sophie Sevrette of France
4. Irene Nunez of Panama

The new winner was crowned by Manasvi Mamgai, the outgoing winner from India.

Jelena Mandic also competed at Miss Universe 2005 but did not place. Japan's Tomomi Takada was at Miss Earth 2009 but unplaced. Bolivia's Ximena Vargas Parada will also be representing her country at Miss International 2010 in Shanghai, China.

This pageant was given birth in 1994 in Sarawak, Malaysia.
