Natalie Vertiz, Miss Universe Peru 2011, is Joining Miss Earth 2013?

Rumor has it that a former Miss Universe contestant will be carrying the flag of Peru at the 13th edition of the third most popular and important pageant in the world, the Miss Earth 2013 which is expected to take place in Thailand if current negotiations on the venue will materialize.

Natalie Vertiz (shown at the picture in her swimsuit during the preliminary of Miss Universe 2011 in Sao Paulo, Brazil), a heavy favorite among pageant pundits to win the Miss Universe 2011, is being considered to be Peru's representative to Miss Earth 2013.

As a favorable reply to this, Vertiz was quoted as saying that "there is a big possibility of her joining the said contest and that she is still thinking of it".

This writer is very much excited if this is going to happen since I am a big fan of this Peruvian goddess ( a term we associate with beauty queens who have extremely beautiful faces).

Everyone fell in love with the beauty of Natalie Vertiz the moment she arrived in Brazil. She was actually in everyone's list of semi-finalists before the coronation. Not only that, aside from possessing one of the most beautiful faces among all the candidates, she was towering at 1.83 m or 6 inches flat tall, a thing we pageant lovers consider as an advantage to advance farther to the competition.

But her exclusion at the Top 16 despite showing a solid performance during the preliminary will remain a mystery in the history of Miss Universe. No one knows what went wrong. The only thing we, pageant fans, can think of as her downfall was the interview segment which was done in closed doors.

So the thought of seeing her once more gracing the international stage is something pageant fans can look forward to. If she finally decides to participate in the contest, it would be a decision that will boast  Miss Earth and will eventually take the pageant up to a higher level.

But I hope she won't suffer the same fate which made her cry so hard at the backstage during the Miss Universe 2011 finals when her name wasn't called as one of the semi-finalists.

Best of luck to you, Natalie Vertiz!
