Sorawee Nattee Wins Miss Tiffany's Universe 2009
Sorrawee Nattee, a 20-year old student, was crowned as Miss Tiffany's Universe 2009 at the Tiffany Show Theatre in Pattaya, an east coastal city of Thailand.
Nattee beat 29 other lovely gay beauty queens. She will represent Thailand at the Miss Queen of the Universe that will be held also in Thailand in November. The pageant is the Miss Universe (Donald Trump's pageant) for the gays around the world. Other countries are also sending their representatives.
The theme of the 12th Miss Tiffany's Universe is "Live and Learn Life to Enhance your Beauty."
The purpose of the pageant (Of course, aside from empowering the gays) is to promote Pattaya as a tourist destination. The money raised will be donated to Thailand Red Cross Society for AIDS prevention and treatment. Thailand is one of the countries in the world with a high rate of people who have been infected with AIDS.
There was a little drama at the coronation night, when Nattee was declared as the winner, she knelt down in tears with hands clasped.
