Philippines won another international beauty title last Sunday night.April Love Jordan of Ilocos Sur was declared the first ever winner of a new beauty pageant called International Beauty and Model Festival that was held in Kunming, China, beating over 40 young women from all over the world.
If you have watched Binibining Pilipinas 2009 last March where Rich Asuncion, one of Siete Contra Dos' Philippine Top 100 Young Female Stars, was crowned as a runner up, April Love paraded in your eyes wearing candidate number 9. She was one of the semi-finalists in the Top 10.
Jordan's court includes first runner-up Laura Kuliesaite of Lithuania, second runner-up Natalia Ospina Acevedo of Colombia, third runner-up Ella Marlyne Lea Ayele of Gabon and fourth runner-up Olga Lobanova of Russia.
The pageant is organized and produced by World Beauty Congress (WBC), co-presided by Zamir Huseynov of Azerbaijan and Ma Yongmei of China.
Regional titles were also distributed. Christina Sylvia of USA (Miss North America), Sabina Ovariova of Slovakia (Miss Europe), Anastasiya Shaulova of Azerbaijan (Miss Eastern Europe), Maria Chapsa of Greece (Miss Western Europe), Alina Sheptunova of Kazakhstan (Miss Eurasia), Suelen Caroline Correia of Brazil (Miss South America), China (Miss Asia) and Mofya Chisenga of Zambia (Miss Africa). Special awards were given to Yang Younghwa of South Korea (Miss Photogenic), Tania Lim Kim Suan of Singapore (Best in Evening Gown) and Taiwan (Best in Swimsuit).
The finals were shown live on national television. Other subsidiary awards will be distributed in separate events in the next two days.
Wow! Congrats to April Jordan. She's very beautiful. I'm just wondering why she didn't make it in Bb. Pilipinas.. But I guess she has proved herself because she has won an international title. Pride of Pinoys!!
