Meet Monte Plata’s candidate for the Miss Dominican Republic Pageant

Monte Plata’s representative in the Dominican Republic Miss Universe Pageant 2009, Ana Rita Contreras, pledged to defend the rights and aspirations of the Dominican youth and especially those of her province, if crowned in the beauty pageant slated for May 17, in Santo Domingo’s Sans Souci Port.

For the stunning 24 year old architect who speaks five languages, the deepest yearning has been to become the Dominican youth’s spokeswoman as a beauty queen, for which she decided to compete in the pageant.

Contreras was presented to the media as Monte Plata’s candidate in the Miss Dominican Republic Universe Pageant 2009, in a press conference held in Santo Domingo’s Clarion Hotel.

She graduated Summa Cum Laude in Architecture in UNIBE University and graduated as a model in the Elegant Femme Academy, and received a Masters degree in New York’s Columbia University, where she was bestowed the Academic Excellence award.
