We all know by now who the winner is of Miss USA 2009 pageant. She's from North Carolina, Kirsten Dalton. But for those Filipinos who are frequently reading my blog, did you know that the representative of Hawaii has Filipino roots?
Yes, Aureana Tseu who strutted the Miss Hawaii sash last night in Las Vegas is wearing the Filipiniana, Philippines national costume, in these photos. Just take a look.
She is the 2nd Filipina to represent Hawaii in Miss USA. The 1st was Nadine Tanega, who made it to the Top 12 of Miss USA 1994.
A lot of Pinays have represented Hawaii in Miss USA pageant including Dr. Ligaya Stice and Leimomi Bacalso (remember Visayan actress Bacalso from Canada?)
