MISS Zimbabwe Tourism 2007 Cynthia Muvirimi has been back on the runway – this time representing Zimbabwe last Saturday at the Top Model of the World beauty pageant in Berlin, Germany.
The 25-year-old beauty made the last 15 out of 43 contestants from as many countries.
Cynthia lit up the night at the Estrel International Convention Centre, impressing judges with her flawless beauty and elegance.
After waltzing into the top 15, she was disappointed to miss out on the top three cut – but no matter, as she was signed up by modelling agencies from Dubai and the United States.
She told New Zimbabwe.com: “It was a great show and it is slightly disappointing I missed out on the top three. You know in these events once you are in the top 15, you somehow hope to go all the way.”
The Top 15 had the United States of America, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Zimbabwe, Kosovo, Poland, Colombia, Sweden, Armenia, Honduras, Belarus, Bulgaria, Bolivia, Kazakhstan, and Hispaniola. Brazil emerged the winner, followed by a contestant from the United States and third place went to Bulgaria.
The UK-based Cynthia, who jokes she is “getting old” for beauty pageants, has also set her eyes on events and television presenting.
Cynthia’s manager Hildah Mumba said: “She is a winner in a way because she is attracting attention from agencies around the world. I am delighted for her.”
Before winning Miss Zimbabwe, Cynthia burst into the national consciousness when she won Miss Global International in 2006.
The shy and retiring beauty queen lives in London where she is employed as a midwife.
