Agustina Quinteros of Argentina won the first beauty queen or winner of Miss Tourism Ibero-America. The launching of this pageant was held in the city of Las Termas de Río Hondo, Argentina which was attended by over 6000 people.
Quinteros represented Argentina in Miss World 2008 Pageant in South Africa. She was in the Top 32 semi-finalists of Miss World 2008.
Miss Brasil, Jeanine d'Castro, was The 1st runner-up. Jeanine is the current Miss Mundo Minas Gerais, and she will be soon competing at Miss Mundo Brazil 2009.
