Armed with swimsuits and flawless smiles, dozens of young women have gathered in Sydney in the hopes of becoming the next Jennifer Hawkins.
They came under the scrutiny of Miss Universe Australia judges, aiming to become one of three NSW finalists for the national pageant next month.
Contestants were assessed on personality and presentation, with the judges not just looking for a pretty face.
