Nude photo scandals of Russian beauty queens

When a I made a blog entry about the latest nude photo scandal in pageantry involving winners and other contestants of Miss Minsk 2013, I have mentioned about what I have observed. In my write-up, SCANDAL: Miss Minsk 2013, Yana Kontsevenko, Nude Photos, I wrote that most of the nude photo scandals involving beauty pageant winners or contestants are from Russia or the countries which used to be part of Russia.

This is an update on Yana Kontsevenko, the winner of Miss Minsk (Belarus) 2013 who hours after her coronation, provocative photos of her started circulating in the net.

Have you observed what I have observed for the last few years of following beauty pageants. Most of the nude photo scandals involving beauty pageant winners or contestants are from Russia or the countries which used to be part of Russia. Why? I am just wondering.

State-run media and bloggers in authoritarian Belarus want several winners of a recent beauty pageant stripped of their titles for stripping and posing topless.

Like almost any public event, beauty pageants in the ex-Soviet nation’s capital are government-sponsored and strictly monitored.
