Photos of the early delegates to the Miss U in Bahamas
Lots of girls representing different countries are already in Bahamas for the Miss Universe 2009 pageant but there seems to be a problem with the coverage. Few pictures on the arrival of each delegates are sprouting in the net. In fact the pictures I am posting in this post are the only ones they are in a group.
In the pictures, we can see Misses Egypt, Malaysia, Thailand, South Africa, Paraguay, Bolivia, Csezk Republic, Serbia, Montonegro, Iceland, France, Peru, Panama and Guam.
Hope to see more of them in the coming days.

Miss France Chloe Mortaud Arrives First in Bahamas
The first delegate to arrive in Bahamas is Miss France Chloe Mortaud.
They say that "the earliest bird catches the worm first". Will this saying be vindicated once again with her winning the next Miss Universe crown?
Chloe arrived Thursday night at 10 pm in Bahamas. She was happily received by the host beauty queen, Kiara Sherman, and officials from the Ministry of Tourism, protocol officers from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and a contingent of police officers.
She took the home number of Miss Bahamas who isn’t scheduled to check into the hotel until early next week. The first thing she said was how excited she is to be in the Bahamas because she always wanted to come here. Chloé was very impressed with the warm welcome she received, remarking that the people are so friendly. After a brief stay in the Lynden Pindling International Airport’s VIP lounge, she was whisked off to the Atlantis Paradise Island Resort in a limousine, led by police outriders.
Two more contestants are scheduled to arrive today – Miss Albania and Miss Kosovo. They will be flying in this afternoon with Miss Universe fashion photographer Fadil Berisha who will spend about five days here taking the officials photos of the contestants for the Miss Universe website.
Fadil works with the Miss Albania and Miss Kosovo organizations. So, don't be surprised if Misses Albania and Kosovo gets better treatment as it happened in the past.
Meanwhile, here is a picture of Miss Paraguay Mareike Baumgarten departing for Bahamas.

A Beauty Queen Hit the Heart of Novak Djokovik

That's definitely a wrong notion because you can be a beauty queen and an athlete at the same time. Take the case of Paraguayan beauty queen who stole the limelight last Olympics in Beijing. Make way to Leryn Franco.
I remember while the Beijing Olympics was ongoing, one of the hottest topics in blogs and other discussion boards was this apparently tall lady who was marching along with the Paraguayan contingent on the opening day. No one noticed here immediately but after few days, she was named as a beauty queen from Paraguay who is competing in javelin throw.
Wow. What an incredible woman?
In 2006, Leryn joined Miss Paraguay contest and she ended up as a runner up. She participated at the Miss Bikini Universe pageant and also has her own calendar which was shot in 2007 by Martin Crespo.
Here is a news about her from theimproper.com.
Paraguayan javelin thrower Leryn Franco wowed the catwalk this week. The 26-year old model, who competed in the 2008 Beijing Olympics in August, worked the catwalk in revealing tops and sexy lingerie at a recent fashion show.
The leggy Leryn has been a part-time model and bikini contestant for years while competing in javelin events.
In 2006, she was the runner-up in the Miss Paraguay beauty pageant and Miss Bikini Universe contest. Leryn became an Internet sensation this summer, thanks to her athletic good looks, and it looks like her newfound notoriety has helped boost her modeling career.
"Modeling is a way for me to continue with my sport," Franco said. "The hours are flexible, and you can earn good money through photographic modeling and the catwalk."
In 2004, Franco competed at the Athens Olympics, where she placed 42nd overall. Leryn's personal best throw is 55.38 meters, achieved in May 2007. Leryn was born 1982 in Asunción, Paraguay. Her full name is Leryn Dahiana Franco Stenery, and she's 5'8" tall and 123 lbs.
In 1998, Franco set the Paraguayan national records for javelin and triple jump in the under-17 age group. In 2001, Leryn won the South American Junior Championship for javelin. She has competed in javelin and track since she was a teen.
Leryn is reportedly dating Novak Djokovic, a 21-year-old Serbian tennis player who's currently ranked No. 3 in the world. The 6'3" Djokovic, who makes his home in Monaco, won his first Grand Slam title at the Australian Open in January 2008. The sizzling duo were seen walking around hand-in-hand at the Olympic village in Beijing this summer.
