Ksenia Sukhinova Crowns Miss Indonesia World 2009

The beautiful current Miss World winner, Ksenia Sukhinova of Russia traveled half way around the world from Puerto Rico to crown the winner of Miss Indonesia World 2009 pageant in Jakarta, Indonesia on the 5th of June.

Karenina Sunny Halim was a picture of happiness while Miss World 2008 was placing the crown on her head. Halim beat 32 other lovely girls from all over Indonesia to have the right to represent this largest Muslim nation to the Miss World 2009 to be held in London and Johannesburg, South Africa.

The winner is a 22-year old from the capital Jakarta and holds six diplomas from Christian Home Schooling. She is also a teacher for children who were victims of the December 2004 Tsunami that struck Indonesia, Thailand and some other countries in South East Asia.

Miss Sulawesi Melati Putri Dewi was adjudged as the First Runner-Up while Miss Bali Viviane was the Second Runner-Up.
