Let's continue with our coverage with the ongoing Miss World Brazil 2009. I mentioned in this blog entry that the Miss World Brazil obviously copied their pageant format to the Miss World's for having fast-track events, five all in all, to determine five of their semi-finalists.
Miss Sports and Miss Talent were held last Monday and Tuesday (June 29 and July) with Miss Ilha do Campeche, Anelise Laulau, winning the former and Miss Pernambuco, Karine Barros, winning the latter.
Last July 2, the Beach Beauty contest was concluded and the winner was Mariana Notarangelo of Rio de Janeiro. Mariana just became the third semi-finalist.
First Runner-Up went to Jocasta Costa of São Paulo and the Second Runner-Up was Livia Nepomuceno of Distrito Federal.
The other finalists who made up the Top 5 were Jordana Sidô of Marajó and Karine Osório of Acre.
The winner of this pageant will be declared on Sunday, July 5, 2009. She will represent Brazil at the Miss World 2009 pageant in Johannesburg, South Africa and London in December.
