She is not just a former beauty queen but she is about to become the second most powerful person on the world's most powerful country.
Her name is Sarah Palin. She placed second during the Miss Alaska 1984 beauty pageant. Now at 44, she made history as the first woman on a Republican presidential ticket when Sen. John McCain announced on August 29 that she would be his vice presidential running mate.
Since then, she became one of the most talked and watched political candidate. And as for us, the pageant fans, we are eager to see any video of her during the pageant. Luckily, An Alaskan has uploaded what he claims to be actual footage of Palin in a red tanksuit, strutting her stuff in the 1984 Miss Alaska beauty pageant. The emcee introduces her, reads her bio and compliments her leadership.
The emcee is heard saying, "Sarah says she wants to prepare for a career in television broadcasting by majoring in telecommunications and political science. It is no wonder that she has also been recognized by 'Who's Who?' since she has displayed her leadership in all areas, from academics to student politics to athletics... Ladies and gentlemen, contestant No. 8, Sarah Heath."
