Maximilian Lewandowski is Poland's representative to Mister World 2010

News about the awarding of the winner of Mister Poland 2010 came out yesterday in different websites and blogs but there is something baffling me. The winner and the runners-up are wearing sashes dated 2009. It was also mentioned that the 1st runner-up Sebastian Strzępka Lestat is going to Mister International. But when I checked the official website of the said Singapore-based male pageant, I have learned that Sebastian has  already competed in Mister International 2009 in December 19, 2009.

I was made to believe that the news was fresh, that the pageant only took place few days ago. Conclusion: it was the Mister Poland 2009 and not 2010. And the winner is going to represent Poland in Mister World 2010 which will be taking place in Korea in March.

Anyways, the winner of Mister Poland 2009 is 18-year old Maximilian Lewandowski from Pyrzyce. He is a volleyball player and he stands 1.90 meters.

The 1st runner-up (in Mister Poland 2009) Sebastian who competed in Mister International last December finished as 4th runner-up (Mister International 2009).

The second runner-up of Mister Poland 2009 is Andrzej Tomicki.

Jose Manuel Flores Sanchez is Mister World Venezuela 2010

I know this is an old news but I want this hunk to be featured in my blog. Venezuela is known for its beautiful women so I guess it is just right to give their male counterparts an attention.

This coming Mister World 2010 in Incheon, Korea on March 27, among the 80 expected gorgeous men to compete from all over the world is a 22-year old charming hunk from Venezuela. His name is Jose Manuel Flores Sanchez - a rugby player who stands 1.95 meters and a student of Business Administration.

Osmel Souza, the famous beauty maker, elected Sanchez to be Venezuela's representative to the said male pageant.

Sanchez will try to duplicate the feat of his countryman Sandro Finoglio Speranza who won the same title in 1998.

The current winner is Juan Garcia Postigo of Spain who won in 2007.

I don't know if you think so but that was the first question that was formulated in my mind when I saw this picture of them "kissing" each other - not just only in the cheek but a lips to lips.

Juan of Spain and Lucas of Brazil were the favorites to win during the Mister World 2007 that was held in Sanya, China. They were the last two standing but the Spanish stud came out stronger with his charisma to edge out the Brazilian hunk.

Going back to the picture, in fairness to them, they were just like having some fun in the company with some friends - nothing serious. But as male pageant winners, they have the hunky or straight image especially for the women and gays who see them as sex icons and seeing them in such a racy picture is a big turn off. Being public models, they should be more careful sometimes with their pranks or antics.

Best contestants for Mister International 2009

After the big four grandslam pageants for women, Misses Universe, Earth, International and World, comes the parade of male pageants. On December 19, the 4th Mister International will be decided in Taichung, Taiwan. There are 33 confirmed hunks from all over the world who are participating in this event. The outgoing winner is from Vietnam, Ngo Tien Doan, who won the title last year also in Taiwan.

There are limited press coverage and pictures of the contestants available for fans. I have not seen all the delegates. So far, five hunks have already caught my attention and one of them might win Mister International 2009. In random order, here they are:

Belgium - 21-year old Thomas Ladangh is a look-a-like of Hollywood matinee idol and High School Musical leading man, Zac Efron. I am not a big fan of white guys but among all the European contestants including the guy from the US, Thomas is a stand-out. His boy-next-door image is undeniably appealing. His greatest asset are his eyes.

France - Maxime Thomasset is not a newbie in male pageants. He was a semi-finalist at Mister Universe Model 2009. He is my second best choice among the white guys because he seems a man to me. In contrast with the "feminine" looks of Mister Belgium, Maxime exudes a manly aura.

Indonesia - Holly Feriston, 21, has sharp eyes that can easily melt the hearts of the judges. Like Mister Belgium, his best asset are his eyes though Holly is an inch better because the model from Malang, Indonesia has a better and toned body. His waterloo is his height. He looks short.

Philippines - 23-year old Michael Manansala shines from this year's batch because of his attitude - he has a jolly personality. He emits positive aura. Michael also knows how to project on camera. At the costume presentation, I have observed that he is the only guy who put a little drama on his presentation. Besides, you can easily notice him in the crowd because of his bald head.

Vietnam - Le Xuan Vinh Thuy is only a cute guy but has the best body in the competition. It will not be surprising if he gives his country a back-to-back win in this pageant. What I don't like about this hunk is his hair. It distracts someone from appreciating his almost-perfect features. He should trim it down. Vinh Thuy has the best eyes though.

Taiwan hosts Mister International 2009 for the second time in a row

 

Vietnamese native, Ngo Tien Doan, MISTER INTERNATIONAL 2008 will crown his successor at the conclusion of the pageant on 28 November 2009.

During his term, he travels and appears on the media extensively to speak about his role as the Titleholder. The newly crowned MISTER INTERNATIONAL will also go on to do the same. He will also travel the world on behalf of the Mister Singapore Organization.

Each contestant from more than 35 countries around the world will be judged in three categories: swimwear, evening wear and interview as they vie for the coveted title of MISTER INTERNATIONAL 2009.

Mister International 2008 ngo Tien Doan Latest Photos

Honestly, this blogger was one of those who were disappointed when Vietnam's Ngo Tien Doan was proclaimed the winner of Mister International 2008 that was held last November in Taipei, Taiwan. I truly believe there were more deserving and more handsome candidates in that edition of the popular male pageant.

But, as days passed by, upon seeing pictures of Ngo Tien Doan in the net, I started to feel for him. Though he may not be one of my all-time favourites, he will always get my respect for the fact that he was a winner of Mister International.

Recently, Ngo Tien Doan is touring the world as part of his prize for winning the title. He was in Venezuela last month to judge the Mister Venezuela contest.

He has been also a favourite model for different photographers and here are pictures of him in one of his photo sessions. Tell me if you like them.

New Puerto Rican male beauty kings were selected Saturday night at Club Tropicoro in El San Juan Hotel & Casino. Three titles were distributed. 

Mister Puerto Rico Model is Heri Quiles, 20, of Barranquitas (photo, center) His court includes first runner-up Luis Fernando Ramos, 20, of Canovanas and second runner-up Jeffrey Pérez, 21, of Lares.

Mister International 2008

 

 

Mister International is an annual male beauty pageant founded in 2006 by Alan Sim of the the Mister Singapore Organization.Wassam Hanna of Lebanon was the first winner in 2006 followed by Alan Martini of Brazil last year.

The contestants are all now in Taiwan, Republic of China for the third year of the pageant.

Now, don't be confused with this pageant to the defunct Mr. International that used to run 1998 to 2003. Please differentiate the use of Mister (current) and Mr. (defunct). Mr. international was organized by Graviera, a men's clothing company in India, in 1998 until 2003. It has not beel 2008 Candidates, Mister International n held since then.
