Ukrainian named Mrs. World 2008

I know I have been late in publishing about Mrs. World 2008 pageant which was held last 30 June 2008 but  since there are no news about this, you might as well get interested like me. The pageant took place in a glittering event in Kaliningrad, Russia

Contestant from Ukraine Nataliya Shmarenkova a.k.a. pop singer Kamaliya, took first place in the finals  featuring 40 contestants from various countries around the world. The beauty pageant for married women over 18 was founded 30 years ago by an American businessman David Marmel. Last year American Diane Tucker was crowned Mrs. World in Sochi. 

First runner  up is Mrs. Singapore and second runner-up is Mrs.Belarus. Mrs. Peru and Mrs. Vietnam occupied the rest of the Top 5.

The other 5 Mrs who entered the Top 10 are Philippines, Iran, USA, Brazil and Kaliningrad in no particular order.

Last year’s Mrs. World 2007, Diane Tucker of the USA was also present there to give the crown to new Mrs World: Natalia Shmarenkova. Her name is often misspelled as Natalya Shemankova or Natalia Shemankova. 

Mrs.Bolivia and Mrs. Colombia are the winners of Best in Costume and Original Costume respectively. There is actually Top 10 in National Costume and aside from the two winners, Brazil, Hong Kong, Peru, Japan, Pakistan, Korea, Germany and Russia complete the list.

Mrs Congeniality is Ivory Coast, Mrs Photogenic is Mexico, Mrs Fitness is China and Best in Gown is Israel.

Mrs World 2009 will be held in Vietnam.
